Watchlistr offers a comprehensive platform for discovering and monitoring your favorite movies and television shows. The application provides a browsing interface that includes the latest blockbusters, classic films, and engaging series. Both media tabs feature dedicated sections highlighting popular titles curated from various lists, along with streaming service options. The TV Show tab also emphasizes shows airing today and scheduled for tomorrow, with sorting options to enhance content navigation.

The search functionality is robust, enabling users to locate specific titles, actors, or genres efficiently. A search history facilitates quick access to previous queries. Genre browsing displays a list of related media entries, offering previews of up to 20 titles. When searching for movies, collections are presented when available, enriching the viewing experience.

Detailed information about each media item is accessible through a single tap. For shows, users can view episode counts per season and access full episode lists by interacting with season sections. The app simplifies finding streaming or rental options; tapping the app icon within media details directs users to the respective app if installed, or to TMDB for additional information. Collections for movies are also available, and tap interactions with cast members reveal other media featuring the same actors or actresses. The 'Suggested' section provides recommendations based on user interests to assist discovery.

A sharing feature allows direct distribution of media details from the app, streamlining recommendations to others by navigating them straight to the content’s detail page.

Notification settings enable reminders for new releases or rewatching favorites, each with distinct sounds to ensure alerts are noticeable.

The watchlist management system permits marking individual media as "watched," with visual badges indicating status. Holding down on a show or movie provides quick access to setting custom reminders, viewing upcoming episodes, or scheduling alerts for upcoming releases directly from the watchlist. Long-pressing on items toggles their ‘Watching’ status, pinning them at the top until toggled again. For series with new episodes airing, badges notify users accordingly. Sorting options include alphabetical order, watched status, and date added. Users can organize their watchlists into folders based on genres or preferences for better management.

The profile section allows personalization through profile pictures and color schemes for textual elements. Profile metrics display watched movies and episodes count, scheduled notifications, new episodes count, and enable toggling between light or dark themes. Users can also customize the app's default opening screen—whether Movies, Profile, or TV Shows.

Registration via Apple or Google provides a secure and streamlined login experience, with options to link accounts seamlessly through Firebase. A temporary user mode offers potential users an opportunity to explore core features without initial registration.
